Living Faith is a collection of people who are doing their best to live their lives in the way that Jesus espoused. Does it mean that they are perfect and therefore never mess up? Heck no! It simply means that they are doing their best to live simple lives that are centered around the life and teachings of Jesus. This kind of life is one that fosters love and forgiveness, grace and non-judgment. These attributes, we believe, must rule the day in the life of a follower of Jesus - as it is truly the way of Jesus...the one who's life and teachings we do our best to follow.
Jesus said, "follow me." In the midst of his life, he told his followers to do the things that they saw him do. So, some questions: Did Jesus ever run programs? Build a building? Have a capital campaign?
What what he did do was to reach out to those who were hurting and struggling in life, those who were lonely, and those who honestly wanted to leave a life of religious legalism for a life of faith and freedom.

Jesus came to lift people out of the hole that they had dug for themselves. Too often though, religion has been used to hold people down or to hold them in line. At Living Faith we want to be like Jesus in helping people step up into life. What does that look like? For every person it is different. For some it is helping them move beyond an awful past. For others it is helping them learn to love unconditionally. For still others it might be helping them learn to forgive. Everyone is different and everyone will have different needs that, when met, will enable them to climb out of the hole...and into a life of freedom and joy.
Doesn't sound like such a bad thing - does it?
IMAGINE what it would be like to be connected with a group of people who have a shared faith in Jesus,
but who have chosen to no longer "do" church, but to "be" the church. To no longer come and watch a
performance or listen to a speech, but to gather together to reconnect with each other through prayer,
music, discussion, and food.
IMAGINE a group of people who purposefully keep expenses low so they don't have full time staff,
buildings, or tons and tons of programs. Instead they strive to live and give in such a way that they can
meet people's needs with any excess that is given.
IMAGINE a group of people who aren't concerned with trying to grow big or latest fads, but are concerned with a simple faith of Jesus + nothing, and with living it out by simply loving God and loving others.
Perhaps this isn't something you have to imagine anymore, but perhaps that is simply...a real place.
